Senior Pastor – Phil Coates

Hi.  My name is Phil Coates.  My wife Kim and I have three children – Benjamin, Olivia and Joel.  I’ve been the Senior Pastor here at Gateway Baptist Church since April 2003 and I’m excited about what the Holy Spirit is doing in the lives of ordinary people in our church, and in what He’s doing through us in our community.  

Gateway Baptist Church is a vibrant congregation of people of all ages and stages of life, seeking to provide our community with a church that upholds the Christian faith and Biblical values in a way that is relevant for all New Zealanders today. We want everyone to know God loves them and discover for themselves that God is good. We’d love to get to know you and help you discover the joy and fulfilment of knowing Jesus personally.
